CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING 4PM; MINISTRY UPDATE 5PM SUNDAY, MAY 16th
PRAISE GOD! WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL!
However, you may continue to donate through the middle of April, either through your regular method of contributing or through Online Giving if you don't normally use that.
A Mission Field in Need of Help
The North American Mission Board serves a diverse and complex region comprised of:
United States, Canada and U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). It supports thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.
The guide for the Week of Prayer can be found at:
Also continue to remember all of the North American Missionaries in your prayers.

HABITAT HOUSE BUILD
Walker members, staff and friends will helped build a house in Fairview on April 15th. In addition to the building activities members provided funds and food to make the day a success. Thank you to all who participated and prayed for the event.
To date, 35 backpacks were filled to the top zipper with much appreciated items, 24 of which were distributed by Home Street Home Ministries. Thank you so much to those who contributed to this ministry. We will publish a new list of needed items during the summer. The needs are ongoing so we want to continue showing our love to those less fortunate than us. We know bottled water will be one of the items we will include, so watch for sales and begin collecting now!
As many of our neighbors have lost jobs or had their hours reduced, the need for food and other supplies is great. Graceworks needs our help. Food Pantry Items needed include:
• Non-perishable foods such as: tuna, hearty meals (beef stew, chili, and ravioli), cereal, canned meat, mac and cheese.
• Baby Products: Diapers (sizes 3,4,5, and 6), baby formula
• Household & Hygiene Products: Toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, deodorant. Dog food.
You may bring to church or deliver them directly to Graceworks. If delivering to Graceworks, they ask that you make these donations Monday through Friday, between 9 am to 3 pm, at the GraceWorks Donation Center at 104 Southeast Pkwy (back of building). Thrift Store items can be donated between 9 and 1 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Space is limited.
• Financial Assistance: You may give through the church or donate directly to Graceworks.
Our church, led by the Pathfinders class, continues to support the residents and staff of My Friend's House through ongoing classes, meals, and special fundraisers. The quarantine has created a special need for additional food and snacks. If you wish to have a special part in this ministry please contact Jennifer Leonard or Vonda Hazelwood.
The church has an ongoing fund to help church members with unexpected expenses. If you wish to help with these, there is a category on the Giving Site labeled We Care We Share. You may also designate your gift through a direct donation to the church. Thank you for assisting with these needs.
