My Friend's House Group Home

The Pathfinder Class is leading numerous activities involving the residents and staff of My Friend's House. Examples include: dinner being provided once a month, in-home suppers and game nights, exercise classes, inclusion in church events, and weeknight meetings in our church. Watch for more opportunities to work with this great group of young men. Contact Kelly Wheeler or Jennifer Leonard if you want to help.

GraceWorks Ministries

Walker Baptist Church is a regular monthly contributor to GraceWorks. From July 14 through July 28 we collected 500 non-perishable food items to fill the need that exists year-round, not just at holidays. Thank you for your participation in this project.

Reddick Senior Living Residence

Game nights are held for the residents the first and third Monday of each month at 5:00 pm.  August dates are August 5 and 19. Contact Louise Austin to volunteer or get more information. This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with some members of our community.

Mission Trip to Guatemala City

A team of 10 medical personnel (3 from Walker) provided free medical clinics in established Baptist churches Guatemala City, for the residents of the surrounding communities. Medical supplies were collected by many churches in the NBA.  Through the generous donations of Nashville area Baptists, enough supplies were left for the following week's trip also. Praise the Lord for His goodness.
