LAST DAY TO BRING ITEMS: MARCH 14
Youth are collecting items for their Backpack Ministry. Since Walker is not hosting Room in the Inn this year, they will be loading backpacks with items requested by the gentlemen who participate in RITI.
Senior members of the FHS baseball team came to Walker Baptist Church to help pack the backpacks for the homeless. We are so proud of them for their willingness to reach out and share a tangible witness for the love of Christ.

Please place items in the collection bins in the the Welcome Center. Thank you!
A Mission Field in Need of Help
The North American Mission Board serves a diverse and complex region comprised of:
United States, Canada and U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). It supports thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.
Please give generously to the AAEO. Our church goal is $2800.
The guide for the Week of Prayer, March 7-14, can be found at:
Also continue to remember all of the North American Missionaries in your prayers.
Their specific prayer requests can be found at:
Walker members, staff and friends will be helping build a house in Fairview on March 25th. We need you! There are many opportunities to help with this project. We need onsite helpers that day to assist with building, cleaning, painting etc. A hospitality team will be coordinating meals and snacks.
If March 25 is not a good day for some of you, there are other ways to contribute. You can organize a supply donation drive. You can even build birdhouses and raised bed gardens at home, to be delivered on site later. You can donate money to help offset the cost of the home. This is a huge concern, obviously. We don't want our involvement in this project to negatively impact our annual giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions, the focus of which will overlap the timetable of the Habitat project. Some of you may not be able to donate to both. However, if you can prayerfully and joyfully donate generously to both, then God bless you! Let Chuck know soon how you want to assist. We know you will be blessed.
As many of our neighbors have lost jobs or had their hours reduced, the need for food and other supplies is great. Graceworks needs our help. Food Pantry Items needed include:
• Non-perishable foods such as: tuna, hearty meals (beef stew, chili, and ravioli), cereal, canned meat, mac and cheese.
• Baby Products: Diapers (sizes 3,4,5, and 6), baby formula
• Household & Hygiene Products: Toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, deodorant. Dog food.
You may bring to church or deliver them directly to Graceworks. If delivering to Graceworks, they ask that you make these donations Monday through Friday, between 9 am to 3 pm, at the GraceWorks Donation Center at 104 Southeast Pkwy (back of building). Thrift Store items can be donated between 9 and 1 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Space is limited.
• Financial Assistance: You may give through the church or donate directly to Graceworks.
Our church, led by the Pathfinders class, continues to support the residents and staff of My Friend's House through ongoing classes, meals, and special fundraisers. The quarantine has created a special need for additional food and snacks. If you wish to have a special part in this ministry please contact Jennifer Leonard or Vonda Hazelwood.
The church has an ongoing fund to help church members with unexpected expenses. If you wish to help with these, there is a category on the Giving Site labeled We Care We Share. You may also designate your gift through a direct donation to the church. Thank you for assisting with these needs.
